We recently changed to a custom domain in microsoft teams. After doing this we were unable to edit word documents. If you are unable to create .word/other documents on office.com after signing in to your "Microsoft Business" Basic account try these steps:

Easy solution:

1. Clear browser cache
2. Sign out/in

Easy solution 2

1. Try another browser, like edge or chrome

Check permissions in your Microsoft account (Harder solution (if easy does not work))

1. Clear your browser cache: Settings > clear browser cache
2. Go to "admin > user > select user > permissions > show all"
3. Add all permissions for your account
4. Go into your windows 10 settings, add your Microsoft account (this "kicks" the microsoft platforms to update the latest settings)
5. Log in again, try to create a word document
6. If that does not work try changing browser to Edge or chrome
